RBC adds $500B in funds for net-zero carbon 2050 goal

RBC (RY-T) is adding $500 billion to its sustainable financing funds as it commits to achieving net-zero carbon emissions in its lending by 2050. RBC expects to achieve its environmental funding target by 2025 having hit its initial goal of $100 billion last year.

McCain Foods has made a substantial investment in TruLeaf Sustainable Agriculture and its wholly owned subsidiary GoodLeaf Farms, which uses a proprietary system of specialized LED lights and hydroponics. GoodLeaf grows five microgreens for the domestic market 365 days a year.

With temperatures dropping to almost -40 degrees C last week, the City of Prince George and the University of Northern British Columbia have demonstrated two successes in downtown Prince George that demonstrate the value of local ingenuity and local wood products.
