Sifton’s West 5 renewable energy demo site

Sifton Properties’ West 5 development, a 70-acre multi-use community in London, Ontario, has been selected as the demonstration site for the new community net metering model (CNM), a project to explore how a community can work together to generate renewable energy.

Developers Northcrest and Canada Lands Company are releasing a plan for a Toronto project, which will be full of parks and “green corridors”. It will include mass timber buildings, and be light on cars and great at managing stormwater.
