Boralex reports net earnings down 44% in Q1
Montreal-based renewable energy company Boralex Inc. (BLX-T) reported net earnings of $41 million in Q1, down $32 million from Q1 2024. EBITDA for the quarter was $176 million, compared to $195 million from a year ago.
Svante launches first-ever gigafactory for CCR Filters
Burnaby-based Svante Technologies has officially opened the world’s first commercial-scale gigafactory dedicated to manufacturing carbon capture and removal (CCR) filters. Located in Burnaby, the Redwood facility will produce enough filters to capture up to 10 million tonnes of CO2 annually.
