Nano One ‘has the key’ to LFP battery production

Parkland Corp. is planning a $600-million construction program at its B.C. oil refinery to expand the production of renewable fuel. The refinery in the Vancouver suburb of Burnaby has the capacity to process 55,000 barrels a day of crude oil.

BNP Paribas has announced it has recently closed an amendment to add sustainability-linked incentives to its LC facility with Northland Power Inc. The move could also help Northland double its renewable power generating capacity by the end of the decade.

Mining giant Vale has confirmed that it has signed a deal with Tesla to supply nickel from its Canadian operations for EV batteries. It has a target to deliver 30 to 40 per cent of its Class 1 nickel sales.

ACE Green Recycling has announced plans to build and operate the largest emissions-free and sustainable battery recycling park in Texas. The 400,000 square foot facility will be able to recycle both lead-acid and lithium-ion batteries when fully operational.
