Home values affected by flood risks: U Waterloo report

The University of Waterloo’s Intact Centre on Climate Adaptation today released a report which illustrates the heavy financial impact of catastrophic flooding on homeowners and Canada’s real estate market.

Cleantech development and services company CHAR Technologies Ltd. has announced that it will own and operate a high temperature pyrolysis system (HTP) in Saint-Félicien, Que.

The TTC has entered into a 20-year agreement with PowerON to help decarbonize Toronto’s bus fleet. PowerON, a subsidiary of Ontario Power Generation (OPG), will design, build, co-invest, and operate the charging and electrical infrastructure for its fleet and facilities.

The BC Trucking Association has asked the province to create legislation that would require all new heavy-duty trucks sales in B.C. to be at least low-emission vehicles by 2060, the group said last week.

NFI Group Inc. says the New York City Transit Authority has ordered 60 battery-electric, zero-emission heavy-duty transit buses. New Flyer says the order is in addition to 15 battery-electric buses previously delivered to the transit authority. No financials were reported.

Toyota has announced a $90 million investment to expand hybrid transaxle production at its manufacturing facilities in West Virginia and Tennessee. The funds will be used to assemble rear motor stators and cast hybrid transaxle cases and housings.
