Parkland’s EV charging station of the future

A Scottish architect has won $25,000 for creating the winning entry in a global EV charging station design competition run by Electric Autonomy Canada (EAC) and sponsored by Parkland Corporation.

The Ottawa Hospital’s new Civic Campus will be one of the capital city’s largest infrastructure projects ever built. Due in 2028, the building will be constructed using sustainable materials, while solar gain, airflow and energy efficiency are also a focus.

A project headed by Metrolinx to cut down trees in a ravine has fired up residents and policymakers. Located in the Upper Beaches neighbourhood in Toronto’s east end, members say irreversible damage is being done to wetlands in Small’s Creek.

Nissan Motor Co Ltd plans to stop developing new internal combustion engines in all its major markets outside the U.S., as the automaker shifts its focus on EVs. Nissan will continue development on a limited supply of its gasoline engines.
