Carbon capture partnership thriving in Alberta

Alectra Utilities Corporation has received $2 million to install 340 EV chargers in communities across Ontario. The investment, given by the federal government, will see units installed in buildings, streets and facilities for servicing light-duty vehicle fleets by October 2023.

Hyundai has announced that it plans to introduce 17 new electric vehicle models by 2030. Announced at its annual Investors Day forum, the automaker also mentioned plans to boost its hardware and software offerings to compete on a global stage.

Hillcrest Energy Technologies has designed specs for a high-efficiency inverter that could be lighter, compact and more efficient electric vehicle (EV) powertrains. Hillcrest HEI expects to achieve efficiency exceeding 99 per cent with an industry-leading power density approaching 50 kW/L.

Sanctions over oil-rich Russia’s invasion of Ukraine have left many nations short on fossil fuel supplies. However, Canada’s Environment Minister, Steven Guilbeault, told reporters that the best way to avoid crisis is to reduce global dependence on oil and gas.
