Horizon New Energy sees bright future for renewables in Canada

The strong potential for renewable energy in Canada has led to the establishment of Horizon New Energy in Calgary, an offshoot of renewables investor Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners. Horizon is an independent power producer with 1.37 gigawatts of projects under development.

Revolve Renewable Power Corp. (REVV-X) has announced the proposed acquisition of hydro and wind project developer WindRiver Power Corp. for an upfront consideration of $4.85 million. The acquisition is expected to close in December.
